Inspection of fire protection technology
In all special structures, there are usually many items of fire safety equipment for which testing is required in accordance with national testing ordinances or special construction regulations relevant to that particular country.
- non-automatic fire extinguishing systems (e.g. hydrant installations, fire extinguishing conduits)
- automatic fire extinguishing systems: (e.g. sprinkler systems, water spray extinguisher systems, CO2 fire extinguishing systems)
- smoke and heat extraction systems (natural and machine-based)
- pressurised smoke protection systems, equipment for keeping emergency routes smoke-free
- ventilation systems (for fire safety)
- fire-detection and alarm systems
- electrical systems (for fire safety, safety power supply, function maintenance equipment)
In addition, TÜV NORD tests and certifies the synergy of the systems in the sense of a successful integrated fire safety concept.
