Functional safety
The goal of functional safety is to create complete traceability of all requirements from the calculations all the way to testing and other verification procedures.

Functional safety is a guiding principle for the representation of correct and safe function of systems and components. Processes with which a structured hazard and risk assessment is made in designing work form a basis for functional safety. As part of functional safety certification, activities such as verification and validation are necessary to certify the correct design work. In the last step, the operator confirms, on the basis of the delivered products and documents, that the safety concerns of his business have been met.
