Functional Safety
Services for Functional Safety for Mobility – ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 / ISO 25119
In the field of functional safety for vehicle mobility the ISO 26262 was published as Draft International Standard (DIS) in July 2009.
This will replace in the automotive industry the currently applied standard IEC 61508. For this we offer the following services and consultations for the development process:
Project Coaching:
- Evaluation and analysis of existing safety concepts
- Support for all activities required by ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 / ISO 25119 (e.g. risk assessment and hazard analysis, SIL/ASIL determination, FMEA, planning of verification and validation, SFF determination, documentation, hardware and software development)
Realisation of Functional Safety Management:
- Analysis of structural and process organisation
- Implementation of ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 / ISO 25119 in the quality management
Assessment services:
- Quick Check [Assessment of Objectives]
- Concept Assessment [Assessment of Principles]
- Compliance Assessment [Full Assessment of Requirements]
Gap Analyses:
Review of documents of the safety life cycle versus the normative requirements, such as
- Safety Plan
- Hazard & Risk analysis
- Safety Requirements
- V&V Plan
Audits on processes compared to normative requirements, such as
- Safety-Management-Process
- Developmentprocess
- V&V-Process
Analyses of safety and reliability parameters, such as
- Determination of probabilistic characteristics (SFF, PFD/PFH, MTTF, DC), e.g. by the means of quantitative failure mode effect analyses (FMEDA)
- Analyse of system safety, e.g. by the means of fault tree analysis (FTA)
Committee work:
The TÜV NORD IFM takes actively part at the future of functional safety due to cooperation in the relevant consortia and working groups:
- VDA NA-A (formerly VDA FAKRA FuSi (ISO 26262))
- VDMA WG Sicherheit (ISO 25119)
- DKE 954 (IEC 61508 Rev2)
- FlexRay
- AUTOSAR
- TTA Steer-by-Wire WG
- E-Security WG
- FKT SA Steering
