The vehicle owner is obliged to keep an SA inspection record.
When the general inspection is due, safety audit plates are affixed on those vehicles subject to safety audits and the diagnostic flag is assigned for the next safety audit due.
The most important information in brief:
- At every safety audit, the auditor draws up an inspection report and documents the results in an inspection record
- The inspection report is filed in the inspection record
- A diagnostic flag is added on the safety audit plate attached to the rear left of the vehicle
- The safety audit plate, 80 x 60 mm in size, is made of plastic or metal
- The safety audit diagnostic flag, 24.5 x 24.5 mm in size, is the same colour as the relevant main inspection and emissions inspection sticker
