Trusted Site Infrastructure
Certification of secure infrastructures
An IT failure will almost always mean financial loss for your company. This is why IT operators (e.g. computing centre) expect safety risks to identify themselves so that they can be remedied.
Support is offered by the Trusted Site Infrastructure (TSI) body of criteria, which is based on recognised standards and assessment criteria from various organisations. For instance, suggestions were gathered from the basic protection catalogues of the Federal Office for the Security of Information Technology (BSI) as well as relevant EN and DIN standards, VDE regulations and VdS publications. The test procedure makes it possible to evaluate the availability of an existing IT infrastructure and analyse planning documents.
Companies that are certified according to TSI show that they are using all current opportunities to ensure the availability of their systems. This can have a positive effect on a company's rating and mean a better starting position for capital procurement and insurance conditions. The certificate also serves to secure the confidence of supervisory institutions and as evidence for internal revision.
