Signature law

Legal security in electronic correspondence

The German Digital Signature Act ("SigG" in German) sets the framework conditions for secure electronic signatures and therefore provides the prerequisite for the legally binding nature of correspondence which is sent and received electronically. TÜViT checks to see whether products for qualified electronic signatures correspond to the law and issues corresponding certificates. As the recognized confirmation center of the Federal Network Agency, the certificate is recognized nationally and internationally.

Our services in detail:

  • Confirmation of products for qualified electronic signatures
  • Checking and confirming the implementation of safety concepts for certification service providers
  • Checking of manufacturers' declarations for SigG requirements
  • Workshops for signature law issues

Our procedure:

  • Introductory workshop for coordinating and defining the requirements (optional)
  • Document check against SigG requirements
  • Product testing
  • System tests
  • Issuance of the confirmation by the TÜViT certification center
