Radiation protection in X-ray technology
As an officially designated expert according to the X-Ray Ordinance (RöV), TÜV NORD Nuclear offers the following services in the area of X-ray technology:
- Radiation protection inspections of X-ray equipment before commissioning, after major changes and periodically (in Germany every 5 years in line with the German X-Ray Ordinance)
- Support in quality assurance as part of X-ray diagnostics; CDMAM (contrast detail mammography) tests of digital mammography systems for screening
- Dose-rate measurements of beams emitted by X-ray therapy equipment
- Expert consultancy in medical physics according to § 3 of the German X-Ray Ordinance
- Training of medical assistants for qualification in radiation protection according to the applicable medical instruction guidelines
- Refresher courses in radiation protection*
- Radiation protection briefing according to the German X-Ray Ordinance
- Design calculations for radiation protection of buildings; consultancy during construction of X-ray facilities
- Technical support in all issues of relevance to radiation protection
