The operation of wind turbines contains certain risks, which, above all, requires a thorough inspection near densely populated locations, or transport routes.
To determine the risks posed by wind turbines near industrial facilities or transport routes, we prepare risk assessments and quantitative risk analyses.
Within this context, the risks caused by ice falling from the rotor blades or the consequences of a rotor blade breaking are examined. For offshore wind farms, for example, the probability and consequences of ship collisions form the subject of the risk analyses.
