Geostatic factors can also impact, restrict, or prevent the development of a wind turbine site. TÜV NORD conducts site-related, construction site exploration for wind farm projects worldwide for this very purpose. Within this context, direct and indirect information on the subsoil data (drilling / probes) is accumulated and, if necessary, geophysical investigation procedures are carried out and their specific values are examined in a soil mechanical laboratory.
Based on the acquired results of the field and laboratory work, we develop detailed, site-related proposals for foundations. In addition to a technically safe solution, our activities equally focus on the project's cost-effectiveness.
