Training for hazardous goods representative
Companies transporting hazardous goods by road, rail, water or airborne vehicles must request (in writing) at least one trained hazardous materials officer.
These companies (with few exceptions) are subject to the ordinance for appointing hazardous goods representatives and the training of representatives in companies and plants (Hazardous Substance Representative Ordinance – GbV) and must have certificates proving they have the required expertise.
We will provide you with the required basic training courses, which generally consist of an obligatory basic course (a general part and a special part on road traffic). It is possible to add additional courses for the other traffic carriers.

Hazardous goods representative training
You acquire the expertise for this activity by participating in a basic course plus an advanced course for traffic carriers used to transport the hazardous goods and successfully passing a written test from a chamber of commerce and industry. The EC training certificate is only valid for a limited time and must be extended before the expiration date.
Intensive preparation for the test for hazardous goods representatives
The EC training certificate is valid for five years, beginning on the day the test is passed. The period of validity will be extended another five years if the certificate holder has successfully passed a test from the responsible chamber of commerce and industry in the last twelve months prior to expiration.
External hazardous goods representatives
As per the ordinance on hazardous goods representatives, a person who doesn't belong to the company or plant can be appointed the hazardous goods representative. This service is provided to several companies by our experts and can be called upon when needed.
