Feed industry feels obligation
With a value of approx. 10 billion euros, livestock feed is the most important agricultural resource in Germany. The need for feed is approx. 66 billion tons annually, which corresponds to approximately eight times the consumption of grain for human nourishment. If the production and use of feed is not done in a targeted, conscientious and quality-oriented way, considerable economic losses and otherwise preventable burdens on the environment can result.
What sectors where the GMP regulations developed for?
- Commerce
- Production
- Bulk handling and storage
- Transport
Quality and security must be ensured in all sectors
The Goods Manufacturing Practice (GMP+) and Quality Control of Feed Materials (QC) standards are important to suppliers, producers, dealers and transporters of feed. These standards are primarily used when exporting to the Netherlands or Belgium. Suppliers who are not based in the Netherlands or Belgium must at least be certified as per the QC standard.
We will accompany you in the certification as per GMP+/QC and the QS charter.
